The Tri-state College Library Cooperative (TCLC) was founded to advance, promote, and develop the best possible research and scholarship on the part of students and faculty members of participating colleges and research institutions. The Cooperative facilitates the exchange of information among participants, encouraging participants to share their library facilities. As members of the Cooperative, GBC students may use the libraries at participating colleges with a letter of introduction from Hirons Library at GBC and a valid student ID. AnnualReports.com is a free online annual reports repository. Interested students may review or download many reports free of charge. The library will continue to collect print reports but many are now available only online. The Copyright and Fair Use Guidelines for Teachers site is a good resource for faculty (and students) concerned about copyright issues relating to education. Areas such as duplication of items for educational purposes and posting materials on websites for student use are covered in this comprehensive site. FDsys is a free site offered through the Government Printing Office that provides public access to government information and government documents submitted by Congress and Federal agencies and preserved as technology changes. The Student Fair Use Test is a system developed by the University of Texas to help students determine if their actions violate copyright law or fall within the fuzzy domain of fair use. |
