Roger R. Reed

Goldey-Beacom College, 1987

As a student at Goldey-Beacom College, Roger R. Reed was active in many college organizations, but none more than his fraternity Sigma Delta Rho, which became the Zeta Gamma Chapter of Kappa Alpha.  Roger was a founding father of this chapter, and has held several offices.  He was honored as Best Pledge and Brother of the Year.  His connection with the fraternity continues on with his induction into The Court of Honor of Kappa Alpha in Washington DC.  

After graduating from GBC in 1987 with his B.S. in Accounting, Roger began his professional career in Caldwell Staffing Services as Assistant to the Controller. In 1988, he joined the firm of Jefferson, Urian, Doane & Sterner P.A., and went on to obtain his Delaware CPA Certificate in 1992. His commitment to excellence in his work led to his swift advancement through the ranks of the company, and in 2000, he was appointed director of the firm. Today, Roger continues to serve as Director and Stockholder of Jefferson, Urian, Doane & Sterner P.A.

Community involvement is a way of life for Roger. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Delaware Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is a Board member and a past president of the Goldey-Beacom College Alumni Association. He is a longtime member of the Georgetown/Millsboro Rotary Club, where he was named a Paul Harris Fellow. He is a past Board member of American Heart Association (Sussex County Division), a volunteer at the Sussex County Land Trust, and a past board member of the Meals on Wheels of Delaware.
