Jerry King

Jerry King joins the Goldey-Beacom College Distinguished Alumni Gallery while serving as President and CEO of Dexsta Federal Credit Union. He began his collegiate career with an Associate of Arts Degree in Business Administration from Keystone Business School in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania. Mr. King holds two degrees from Goldey-Beacom College. In 1998, he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and in 2000, Mr. King received his Master of Business Administration with a Concentration in Human Resources Management.

In 1987, Jerry began his career as a Junior Accountant for the Philadelphia Stock Exchange. His experience and expertise led him to Sun East Federal Credit Union in Aston, Pennsylvania as Head Bookkeeper.

In 1989, Mr. King began his career with Dexsta Federal Credit Union in Wilmington, Delaware as Vice President of Finance. In this role, Mr. King was responsible for investment portfolio management, management of the accounting, information technology, card services and records departments. He also developed and supported human resource policies and functions. Jerry King is now President and CEO of Dexsta Federal Credit Union. He is charged with leading the organization through the preparation and execution of strategic and business plans.

Mr. King is a member of the Financial Managers Society, Credit Union Executives Society and Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities & Colleges. He currently serves as Vice Chairman for the Delaware Credit Union League and was a member of both the National Association of Federal Credit Unions Nominating Committee and its Advisory Council.

Jerry King’s service extends well into the community where he has chaired the Association of DuPont Credit Union Scholarships Board and volunteers with the Basket Brigade of Delaware. He also leads the sponsorship of his organization’s annual Shred event and Safety Fair for the New Castle County Community.
