Resources for Students and Alumni

To register in the GBC Career Services Center, to post your resume, or to view upcoming career-related events, and current employment opportunities, please go to http://www.collegecentral.com/gbc. Click here for instructions to registering online.

The "Ask the Employer" program allows students to ask questions of actual employers, and get replies! You will be able to submit questions to employers via Career Services, and see the answers here on the website in October, December, February and April.

Career Intelligence Modules (for all GBC students) and the MBA Power Program (for graduate and post-bacculaureate program students) will have regular modules to help you prepare for the business world!  Registration will take place here online. Watch for details here and on campus!  Additional resources for Goldey-Beacom College students and alumni to find employment are listed below:

  • Attending Career Fairs and Networking events.
  • Screening newspapers, periodicals, and professional journals.
  • Becoming active members of professional networks.
  • Using the World Wide Web.
  • Participating in the Internship Program which advocates on-the-job training for both associate and bachelor degree students.  You can find a list of companies offering internship opportunities here.  To obtain academic credit for an internship, students must meet certain eligibility requirements.

First steps:

  1. Schedule an appointment to meet with one of the Career Services staff to assess your career path and start career exploration.
  2. Visit http://www.collegecentral.com/gbc and start your career development program online
  3. Participate in campus activities desgined to get you ready for a new career!  Our Calendar of Events http://www.collegecentral.com/gbc/student.cfm link can help!
  4. Keep apprised of job-search activities (workshops, seminars, or companies recruiting on campus) by watching the Career Services Calendar of Events.
  5. Maintain to keep your resume and profile updated on College Central.com.
  6. Inform the Career Services Office of employment offers accepted.
