February 28 was the deadline to apply for graduation. Students who did not complete an application by February 28 will not be able to participate in the Commencement Ceremony.
Be sure to bring your regalia (so that you can participate in the processional) and staff at check-in will be available to assist you to make sure you are looking great!

This exclusive event, open to those 21 and older, promises a night of revelry and nostalgia with your favorite GBC staff serving as special guest bartenders. Reminisce with classmates and raise a glass to the achievements of the graduating class in a unique and memorable setting.

Guests who require Handicap seating and/or parking need to request accommodations from the Commencement Committee no later than April 15 by emailing [email protected]. Please note that the College does not provide wheelchairs/walkers.
Q: Is there an official photographer to capture when I walk across the stage?
A: Yes! Grad Images professional photographers will attend the event and will capture you walk across the stage. After the ceremony you will receive personalized information from Grad Images about purchasing your photo(s).
Q: Is there a limit on how many family members/guests can attend the ceremony?
A: Yes. Each graduate receives 6 tickets and 1 parking pass. Graduates do not need a ticket – your ticket is your cap and gown!
Q: I am an international student and my parents/family want to attend the ceremony. Is there an invitation I can request for them to make the necessary arrangements?
A: Yes! Contact the Registrar’s Office for a Commencement Invitation Letter.
Q: Do I receive my diploma during the Commencement Ceremony?
A: No. Your diploma will be mailed to you 2-3 weeks after your degree has been conferred. But, you will receive a diploma cover during the Commencement Ceremony.
Q: When and where do I pick up my cap and gown?
A: Grad Fest! Information on Grad Fest is located at the top of this page.
Q: Do I have to purchase my cap and gown ahead of Grad Fest?
A: No. The cost of your cap and gown is covered when you complete an Application to Graduate.
Q: I missed Grad Fest, what happens now?
A: Contact the Registrar’s Office by Friday, April 18 to coordinate regalia, ticket and parking pass pick-up. The last day to pick up regalia, tickets, and parking passes is Friday, April 18. Day-of pickup on May 9 is not available.
Q: Is there a Commencement rehearsal/practice/walk through?
A: No. We’ll provide you with everything you need to know at Grad Fest and at Commencement Check-In on the 9th!
Q: If I said on my Application to Graduate that I didn’t want to participate in Commencement, but now I do, can I?
A: Maybe, if we can get regalia in time but this is not a guarantee. Contact the Registrar’s Office as soon as possible and no later than April 18.
