The ARC does not have office hour coverage in the summer. However, it is still possible to schedule a make-up exam. To do so, please contact the Director of the HLLC, Russell Michalak, at email@example.com to make an appointment for a make-up exam.
The John R. Miller Academic Resource Center (ARC) supports college faculty by providing a professionally-monitored environment for students to complete proctored assessments and learning support.
The ARC, located in the Hirons Library and Learning Center (HLLC) in the Jones Center, enhances the learning experience of Goldey-Beacom College students by providing learning support or tutoring for students in first and second year courses, including Mathematics, Accounting, ITG 148 and 149, Economics, Humanities, and English.
Appointments with ARC
Book appointments for tutoring and test make-up on this calendar (http://gbc.libcal.com/calendar/ARC-Apppointments). Note: All sessions are for one-hour blocks of time. Tutoring is limited to one hour per session. If you have a test that is longer than one hour, such as 1.5 hours, book two back-to-back one hour sessions.
Appointments are suggested for tutoring and can be made by calling (302) 225-6229, or by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org. In all messages, please include name (please spell), phone number, subject and times available. However, drop-ins are welcome during regular ARC hours.
Make-up Test Policies and Procedures
When a student comes to the ARC to take a make-up test, the student must show a valid GBC Lightning Card. Cell phones are not allowed on the desk while the student is taking the test. They must be turned off and placed in the student's book bag or purse. No notes or books may be on the desk unless allowed by the professor.
Schedule proctored make-up exams through the ARC-Faculty Proctor Request Form.
