Career Fair and Networking Events

The Career Fair is a great networking opportunity to meet with employers and learn more about the full-time, part-time and internship opportunities within their organization.

Tips:

  • Research employers attending the event on Handshake and meet with Career Services to review your resume.
  • Prepare a one-minute presentation about yourself. Introduce yourself, state the degree you have or will receive, highlight your work experience and why you are interested in the company.
  • Dress in professional or business casual, neat attire.
  • Be sure to obtain contact information from employers you meet with. After the event, email your résumé and contact information to employers you connected with at the event.

Internships

Internship Opportunities

All undergraduate students are encouraged to participate in the Internship Program prior to graduating. An internship helps the student enhance the student’s professional skills with actual “hands-on” experience in the student’s field of study. An internship is an excellent résumé builder, since most employers make hiring decisions based upon prior work-related experience. It allows the student to stand out from the rest of the competition when searching for part-time or full-time opportunities.

Students are required to hold a GPA of 2.75 and to have completed at least half of their degree requirements at the time of application. The application process and required documents are accessed through Campus Web.

General Job Search Sites

For general, non-specific job searches, try any of the websites below.

Parker Dewey Paid Micro-Internships

Students from all majors can participate in a Micro-Internship through Parker Dewey to execute professional assignments. Students will build and demonstrate skills while exploring a variety of career paths.

Alumni Outcomes

This support does not end at graduation.  The Career Services Office continues to support alumni without charge with the job search process, interview preparation, career changes and identifying graduate programs.   Over 90% of graduates are placed within six months of graduation in a full-time role or part-time role by choice, continuing their education or a service/military program.
