Distinguished Alumni Awards honors graduates whose achievements reflect the values, integrity, and leadership that define Goldey-Beacom College. These awards are presented by the Goldey-Beacom College Alumni Association Board of Directors.
The true measure of a college’s impact is found in the accomplishments of its graduates. Goldey-Beacom College is proud to recognize alumni who lead with purpose, excel in their professions, and make meaningful contributions to their communities.
Established in 1983, the Distinguished Alumni Gallery program honors graduates whose achievements reflect the values, integrity, and leadership that define Goldey-Beacom College. Each year, members of the Alumni Association Board of Directors select individuals whose professional success, service, and commitment to others exemplify what it means to achieve greater.
We invite you to nominate an alumnus whose story deserves to be recognized.
Goldey-Beacom College is fortunate to have successful alumni in all walks of life. There are so many that we aren’t always up to date on positions and accomplishments. That’s where you come in. You can nominate a fellow Goldey-Beacom graduate for the Distinguished Alumni Award, or to be recognized as a Rising Star. A third award, the Presidential Alumni Award, is chosen by the Presidents of the College and the Alumni Board.
You’ll be asked to provide the following information about your nominee:
The Distinguished Alumni Award bestows recognition of and appreciation for outstanding accomplishments to deserving alumni of Goldey-Beacom College. The recipient has attained distinction in professional achievements, has made significant contributions to society, and has demonstrated and upheld the core values of Goldey-Beacom College while exhibiting integrity, leadership, and professionalism. Considerations also include career longevity, excellence in career, community, or profession, and humanitarian service. Nominees cannot hold elected office.
Individuals receiving the Distinguished Alumni Award will have demonstrated all or some of the following primary criteria:
The Rising Star Award was established in 1997 and is presented biennially at the Distinguished Alumni Gallery Dinner. This award is given to an outstanding graduate of GBC age 40 or under who has excelled in both their professional and community related activities. The recipient has attained distinction in professional achievements, has made significant contributions to society, and has demonstrated and upheld the core values of Goldey-Beacom College. Nominees cannot hold elected office.
The persons receiving the Goldey-Beacom College Rising Star Award will have demonstrated all or some of the following primary criteria:
The Presidential Alumni Award is from the office the President of Goldey Beacom College and the president of the board of the Alumni Association. The recipient of this award must have graduated at least 20 years prior to the award year and demonstrated outstanding service and dedication to the education of others in business. Nominees cannot hold elected office.
An individual receiving the Presidential Alumni Award will have demonstrated all or some of the following primary criteria:
