The mission of the Mental Health and Wellness Center (MHWC) is to cultivate wellness individually for each student in the interest of growth and success beyond the classroom. The services of the Center are designed to assist in the following circumstances: sobriety management, reduction of anxiety/depressive symptoms, development of coping skills, improving interpersonal relationships, and more.

Confidentiality
The MHWC providers maintain the confidential & protected health information of our clients. Information shared in confidence must be breached in circumstances where serious and foreseeable harm is imminent, and/or when disclosure is necessary to protect a client or others. Confidentiality must be breached when additional legal requirements demand. Confidentiality boundaries and limitations is discussed with each client in an ongoing fashion.
Services Offered
The MHWC offers all Goldey-Beacom College students professional mental health counseling free of charge.
Clinical Services
Short term clinical services are offered to students as needed. These services include, but are not limited to, initial appointments to determine the level of support needed, short-term therapy/consultations, and long-term community referrals. Services can be accessed by emailing HealthAndWellness@gbc.edu to schedule an initial appointment.
Drop In Hours
Drop In Hours are available throughout the academic year to afford students the ability to receive informal support from the MHWC without an appointment. These hours are sent out in student newsletters and posted on the MHWC social media.
Student Organization
