When considering which college to attend, one of the most important things you can do is visit the campus. Step foot onto the campus where you might spend four years of your life and really envision yourself there. At Goldey-Beacom College, the Admissions Office hosts Saturday visits throughout the calendar year, allowing prospective students and their families to explore all that the College has to offer.

These Saturday visits enable students and their families to learn and immerse themselves in all that GBC has to offer. When you sign up for a Saturday visit, you are signing up for a day of fun. The day begins with check-in, where you receive a name tag and a GBC swag bag full of information about the College, followed by a continental breakfast in our Event Center.

The first item on the agenda is an admissions presentation by Randle Reed, Director of Admissions. Randle reviews all pertinent information about GBC, such as academic, athletic, and financial offerings. He also provides glimpses of the opportunities available to a GBC student to achieve greater not only as a student but long after they graduate and enter the workforce.

Once students and their families have a solid understanding of GBC, they embark on a campus tour led by current GBC students. This tour experience allows a prospective student to view the entire campus and ask the questions at the tip of their tongue, even the unconventional ones, to quell any lingering uncertainties they may have about the College.

In partnership with the Admissions Office, the Financial Aid Office is also available to assist with questions about the financial aid process, including the FAFSA and applying for additional gift aid. Working together, both offices help students develop a proper understanding of what attending GBC entails. Interested students can inquire about their next steps for applying or committing to enroll at GBC.

After a campus tour, students have a unique opportunity to dine in the College’s cozy dining hall, where an abundance of food and drinks are available to satisfy their every desire. Throughout the meal, Admissions and Financial Aid representatives make their way to each guest’s check-in station, see how the visit is progressing, and address any remaining questions. As you finish your exquisite lunch, don’t forget that the campus store is open. Included in a student’s welcome bag from the start of the day are coupons to the campus store. Securing a discount on excellent-looking GBC gear is always a beneficial way to conclude a wonderful campus visit experience.

While out recruiting, the Admissions Office staff always reminds students to visit campus on one of our Saturday visit days. So, Saturday visits bring families from far and wide to experience GBC! If a Saturday doesn’t work, students are also offered private tours Monday through Friday, throughout the year, emphasizing the accessibility of Goldey-Beacom for all prospective students and families. Overall, the day is full of merriment and is the best way to immerse yourself in the campus environment.

Come, observe the students, enjoy the food, and experience the vibrant campus energy.

The upcoming dates for the first half of the year are February 7, March 28 (Accepted Students Day), and May 2. Additional dates for the fall are forthcoming.

The Admissions and Financial Aid offices look forward to seeing you on campus in the near future!
