The HR SHRM Certification Prep Certificate is designed for those individuals in HR positions and individuals in management positions seeking to transition to an HR role. Students will gain an understanding of the human resource role in organizations today and the importance of the strategic approach to human resource management. Students will explore HR power skills and the importance of emotional intelligence, goal setting, time management, and innovative thinking. Topics will include performance management, employment law, safety and health, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
To earn conferral of the HR SHRM Certification Prep Certificate, students must earn a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA and satisfy all course requirements.
