New Student Timeline
October - June
Fall 2020 undergraduate applicants, if you have been accepted to the College, a tentative aid package will be prepared and mailed to you.
The 2020-2021 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) opened on October 1, 2019. We encourage you to file your 2020-2021 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa. Goldey-Beacom College's school code for the FAFSA is 001429.
Students can receive information about the Colleges on-campus housing availability for the 2020-2021 academic year from the Admissions Office.
March - April
Dependent and Independent students who are selected for FAFSA data verification may be required to provide additional documentation to the Financial Aid Office. Students are encouraged to respond promptly to documentation requests from an Advisor.
Should your family have special circumstances that might affect your financial situation (such as loss of employment), please communicate that information to the Goldey-Beacom College Financial Aid Office.
Newly admitted students who file an electronic FAFSA and submit all requested financial aid documents no later than March 1 will receive financial aid awards by April 30th.
Students who wish to reside on campus for the Fall/Spring semesters must submit a completed Housing Request form, which can be found in your Personal URL.
A $100 acceptance deposit is required by May 1 to reserve a seat in the freshman class. This acceptance deposit, which is credited towards your first semester's tuition payment, is refundable until May 1.
To pay your acceptance deposit, please login to Campus Web using your temporary username and password sent to you in an email from GBC. Click on the Candidate Tab at the top of the page, then click on My Account Balances, then click on Make a Payment and complete the steps provided.
June - July
GBC Admissions Representatives will invite undergraduate students who have paid their acceptance deposit to come to campus and prepare a Fall 2020 course schedule. Financial aid awards are to be completed no later than July to “secure your course schedule” to attend the “Welcome Weekend New Student Orientation” in August.
Applicants who wish to be considered for need-based financial aid must have a completed 2020-2021 FAFSA on file in the Financial Aid Office no later than July 15, 2020. Final financial aid award packages must be accepted by visiting the College's online financial aid portal.
All new undergraduate students are strongly encouraged to attend New Student Orientation. Information about New Student Orientation will be posted, and communications sent to Deposited students, once campus re-opens.
Students should obtain all required textbooks and course materials before the start of the semester. The College has partnered with MBS to provide the Goldey-Beacom College Online Bookstore. The Online Bookstore provides students information on the textbook requirements for each course as well as a convenient way to order textbooks online. Be sure to allow time for shipping!
