Goldey-Beacom College Adds Supply Chain Management and Sustainability Concentration to MBA Program

Wilmington, DE (05/19/2026) — Goldey-Beacom College (GBC) is expanding its graduate business offerings with a new Master of Business Administration concentration in Supply Chain Management & Sustainability, designed to prepare students for leadership roles in one of the fastest-growing sectors of the global economy.

The new concentration integrates logistics, operations, technology, and data analytics to equip students with the skills needed to manage complex supply networks across industries. Through a blend of analytical coursework and applied learning, the program prepares graduates to navigate modern supply chains shaped by globalization, digital platforms, and data-driven decision making.

“The addition of this robust concentration in supply chain management and sustainability to our MBA continues the College’s record of adding high-impact programs at the graduate level,” said Dr. Joel Worden, provost of Goldey-Beacom College. “With our other recent additions of AI and business analytics, students have several powerful options for graduate study.”

The curriculum emphasizes real-world application and industry relevance, combining quantitative and strategic business skills with topics such as logistics management, supplier relations, data analytics, technology platforms, and sustainable supply chain practices. A capstone experience will allow students to apply their knowledge to real-world supply chain challenges and projects.

“Supply chain management and sustainability today require professionals who understand the analytical, strategic relationship management perspective as well as the social and sustainability responsibility sides of business, said Dr. Melvina Brown, professor of business administration. Dr. Brown, who is the developer of the Supply Chain Management and Sustainability concentration also emphasized that, “the program brings a multi-disciplinary approach to not only preparing students who are new to the field but also enhances the skillset of those who are well experienced. The concentration provides students with a broad as well as deep understanding of how supply chains operate, which allows students to enter a variety of industries ready to contribute from day one in various segments across the business.”

Supply chain professionals are in increasing demand across industries including manufacturing, healthcare, retail, technology, and transportation. As organizations continue to rely on sophisticated global supply networks, employers are seeking leaders who can manage logistics operations, analyze data, and implement innovative solutions to complex operational challenges.
