The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974 gives parents the right to their child’s education records, the right to seek to have the records amended, and the right to have some control over the disclosure of personally identifiable information from the education records.
However, when the student turns 18, that right is transferred from the parent to the student. If a parent wants access to those educational records, their student must initiate the FERPA process.
Campus Security, located in Franta Hall, operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
