Multimedia Production Coordinator

Summary:

The holder of this position is a creative storyteller responsible for the conceptualization, planning, production, and execution of Goldey-Beacom College’s photo, video, audio, and multimedia content for internal and external use. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this position will help communicate the College’s story through the images and voices of faculty, staff, students, alumni, and others in content that needs to adhere to best practices across several platforms, including print, digital, social media, advertising, web, video, and audio channels. As part of the College’s Institutional Advancement team, the Coordinator will work with fellow team members, internal clients, and vendors in the planning, development, and execution of work, while contributing creative ideas that support College marketing, enrollment, advertising, and storytelling goals.

Department: Institutional Advancement

Education/Experience:

  • Baccalaureate degree in a discipline related to the work of the department is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in video, photo, and multimedia production is required, preferably in a higher education setting.
  • Experience with audio production, podcast editing, and digital advertising assets is preferred.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills are required.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and awareness of the differences between each is essential.
  • A proven record of success and experience in video and photo production is required, with demonstrated success in meeting goals.
  • The ability to project a strong positive image of the College through personal interaction with members of the college’s stakeholders is required.
  • Demonstrated administrative and organizational skills such as planning, setting deadlines, and evaluating progress is required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others is required.
  • The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures and backgrounds is required.
  • Computer literacy, particularly related to editing software and Microsoft office products, is desired.
  • Technical knowledge of camera, lighting and audio equipment is required.

Effort: Occasionally required to lift and move boxes of materials and equipment weighing 25-50 pounds.

Other: The job requires a Tuesday-Saturday schedule, with routine hours of 10 a.m.-6 p.m. The position may require coverage of one to two evening student events per week as needed, with flexed hours as approved by the supervisor. The job may require travel and attendance at evening and/or weekend activities, meetings, events, seminars, and workshops.

 Essential Functions:

  • Cover College events and plan photoshoots as needed to support enrollment marketing, advertising, website, social media, and other institutional needs.
  • Shoot and edit still photographs, including touch-ups, color correction, and re-sizing.
  • Contribute to enrollment marketing and advertising content strategy by researching industry trends and content best practices.
  • Plan and coordinate pre-production activities, including location scouting, scheduling, talent coordination, permissions/releases, and coordination with planned College events and activities.
  • Plan and shoot a wide range of video styles, from short-form reels for social ads to one- to two-minute program promotions for use in website and educational content.
  • Perform video post-production tasks, which include reviewing footage, adjusting audio, making color corrections, adding music, graphics, photographs, animation, and editing.
  • Develop assets for streaming and digital advertising platforms, including Spotify, YouTube, YouTube Live, and other emerging channels.
  • Edit and produce podcast episodes and other audio content.
  • Maintain College video, photography, lighting, and audio equipment.
  • Maintain GBC digital asset libraries and systems to enable College-wide collaboration and access to approved marketing resources.
  • Contribute creative multimedia ideas for social media and other marketing channels, particularly short-form video, while supporting the Director of Marketing overall strategy and priorities.

Months per Year: 12

Hours per Week: The job requires a Tuesday-Saturday schedule, with routine hours of 10 a.m.-6 p.m. The position may require coverage of one to two evening student events per week as needed, with flexed hours as approved by the supervisor. The job may require travel and attendance at evening and/or weekend activities, meetings, events, seminars, and workshops.

FLSA: Non-exempt

Salary: $58,000 – $62,000

Head Track and Field Coach/ Business Operations (Full-Time)

Summary:

Goldey-Beacom College is accepting applications for a full-time Head Track and Field Coach position.  The holder of this position will oversee all aspects of the Goldey-Beacom College men’s and women’s track and field programs.  The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to recruiting, training, game day coaching, budget, equipment, travel, and scheduling.

Department: Athletics

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of two years’ experience in coaching. College coaching and recruiting experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Ability:

Candidate must be a self-motivated worker who can work with minimal supervision. The candidate must be able to work with a diverse group of people and interact with other departments.

Physical Requirements: The candidate must be capable of lifting up to 35 pounds.

Essential Functions:

Administrative:

  • Conduct all departmental operations associated with the GBC Business Office, including:
    • Check Requests
    • Reimbursements
    • Receipt of Donations
  • Assist the Director of Athletics as needed.

Coaching:

  • Coach the Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Programs.
  • Recruit retainable student-athletes under college regulations.
  • Submit recruiting and practice/play logs on the 1st of each month.
  • Coordinate with the Head Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Coach on all intersectional areas of each program.
  • Maintain a relationship with the Financial Aid/Advisement Office to keep a constant focus on players’ eligibility, and thus fulfill CACC, NCAA, and College regulations.
  • Maintain a relationship with the Admissions Department to assure proper attention to potential student-athletes, and to facilitate their recruitment under CACC, NCAA, and College guidelines.
  • Purchase the necessary equipment for the team; gain prior approval for all purchases.
  • Be aware of the budget and stay within its limitations (travel, meals, uniforms, equipment, scholarships, etc.).
  • Oversee team travel including cleanliness of transportation vehicles and meal receipts.
  • Assist with the scheduling of contests.
  • Supervise the daily transportation of the team to any off/site practice venue.
  • Maintain and provide proof of current CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • Maintain valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record as this position requires frequent
  • Comply with all NCAA or conference rules.  Violation of NCAA or conference rules is prohibited and may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
