Residence Life
Welcome to Residence Life at Goldey-Beacom College, your home away from home! Our residence halls provide you with the opportunity to become part of a close-knit community bonded through socializing, shared experiences, and GBC pride.
At GBC, you will have the opportunity to live on campus and remain connected through the experience of learning new things about yourself, living with others, and growing within the community. Your experience within the residence halls will extend and enrich your time at GBC.

Residence Halls
Within our residential community, there are five residence halls that offer various types of living options for students.
Each residence hall is fully air-conditioned, include utilities and wireless internet access, as well as come fully furnished. All residence halls are smoke-free.
The Making of William A. Franta Hall | NEW RESIDENCE HALL

William A. Franta Hall
Franta Hall is our newly built residence hall that houses our first-year and upper-class students in single and double rooms with six single-user bathrooms and showers on each floor. Franta Hall has a community kitchen located on the Lobby Floor as well as our Campus Security Office. Each floor has floor to ceiling windows in all lounge and study spaces with a beautiful view of our surrounding town.

John G. Leach Hall
Leach Hall houses our first-year students in apartment style spaces with two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a kitchenette with a microwave and a dining/living room area. Leach Hall is designed to accommodate four residents per apartment.

A.Raymond Jackson Hall and Jay W. Miller Hall
These twin halls house our sophomore, junior and senior students in apartment style spaces with two bedrooms, one and a half bathrooms, a full kitchen, dining area and living room. Jackson and Miller Hall are designed to accommodate four residents per apartment.

Rebecca H. Abel Hall
Abel Hall houses our sophomore, junior and senior students in apartment style spaces with two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a full kitchen, dining area and living room. Abel Hall is designed to accommodate four residents per apartment.

Resident Assistants (RAs). Each RA has a host of responsibilities that enhance the resident student experience. These include assisting students with personal concerns in a confidential manner, referring students to the appropriate person or office on campus, creating a community living environment within the residence hall and programming events to meet the residents’ needs. In addition, the Resident Assistants works toward developing an effective method of enforcing Residence Life policies and procedures. There are Resident Assistants on duty each evening and weekend in the residence halls.
