Goldey-Beacom College Hosts Fall Career Fair and Networking Event

Wilmington, DE – Goldey-Beacom College (GBC) is hosting a Fall Career Fair and Networking Event on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, with two sessions: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. in the Event Center on campus. GBC undergraduate and graduate students and alumni, as well as Delaware Technical Community College (DTCC) students and members of the community are invited to attend the event and meet employers in their fields of study.

“Our students and alumni utilize every chance to establish relationships with employers by participating in career fairs and networking events,” said Beth Kirker, director of career services. She continued, “Our employer partners have commented on how impressed they are with our students and alumni as they visit each table to share their stories and learn about potential opportunities. Many times, students and alumni move forward with interviews which often translate to employment. The real win for the Career Services Department is when students and alumni return to the Career Fair on the other side of the table to represent their employer and share their business journey with participants.”

More than 45 employers will be on campus to network and talk to students and alumni about careers in fields including accounting, insurance, mental health services, human services, legal services, financial services and healthcare management.

The Fall Career Fair and Networking Event follows the College’s designation for two consecutive years as a College of Distinction in the Career Development category.
