Goldey-Beacom College Joins Common App for 2022-2023 Application Season

Wilmington, DE – Students applying to Goldey-Beacom College (GBC) for 2022-2023 will have the ability to do so through Common App, a powerful online college application platform that serves more than three million applicants, teachers, counselors and advisors across all 50 United States and around the world each year.

Common App helps simplify the college application process, including making the fee waiver process more efficient for eligible students. “We joined Common App to help simplify the college application experience for students and counselors,” said GBC President Colleen Perry Keith. “Our new partnership with the Common App will help educate more students about the value, attainability and affordability of a Goldey-Beacom College degree.”

For decades, GBC has demonstrated a commitment to pursuing access, equity and integrity in the college admission process. By becoming a Common App member, the College will streamline the application process for students interested in applying to multiple institutions and gain exposure to students who may not have otherwise considered GBC.

In addition to accessing the online application system, GBC is helping to make additional tools and services available to students and those who support students through Common App, including a mobile app, financial aid and scholarship information, virtual mentors, online portfolios and a vast library of counselor resources available in English and Spanish. Common App also offers 24/7/365 technical support to all applicants and recommenders using the system.

Students who are thinking of applying to GBC can create a Common App account now because their account will roll over to next year’s admissions season. Common App members can also use the Common App for transfer, a separate application designed exclusively to meet the needs of transfer and adult student populations.

In January 2019, the Common App united with Reach Higher, the college access and success campaign started by former First Lady Michelle Obama during her time at the White House.

By joining forces, Common App and Reach Higher accelerated progress toward their joint goal of supporting all students, especially low-income and first-generation students, in achieving their higher education dreams.

Founded in 1975, Common App serves nearly 1,000 member colleges and universities worldwide.

Founded in 1886, Goldey-Beacom College has approximately 1,300 students enrolled from 22 states and 65 nations. The College offers 42 degree options in its graduate and undergraduate programs with majors in psychology, economics, criminal justice, communication & media, human services, English, and all areas of business, including accounting, business administration, entrepreneurship, and finance.

The College is accepting students into two new degree programs in fall 2022: B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies; B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Business Analytics. Both were approved in March 2022 by the Delaware Department of Education. In fall 2023, the College plans to offer two additional degrees: Bachelor of Science in Marketing; Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Digital Marketing.

The College is committed to connecting its graduates with careers in their respective fields. For over a decade, the College has achieved a 90% placement rate for graduates. Goldey-Beacom College is located in Pike Creek Valley, a suburb of Wilmington, Delaware. The College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs.
