Goldey-Beacom College Posts Gains in Key Graduation Measures in 2027 U.S. News Rankings

Wilmington, DE (09/25/2026) — Goldey-Beacom College (GBC) posted gains in several key graduation measures in the 2027 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings, including improved rankings for overall graduation rate and graduation rates among both Pell Grant and non-Pell Grant recipients.

Among Regional Universities in the North, GBC’s graduation rate ranking improved four positions to No. 86, while its Pell Grant recipient graduation rate ranking rose 15 positions to No. 128. The College’s non-Pell graduation rate ranking climbed 11 positions to No. 18. According to the U.S. News data, GBC reported an overall graduation rate of 56%, a 40% graduation rate among Pell Grant recipients and a 76% graduation rate among non-Pell Grant recipients.

“These results reflect Goldey-Beacom College’s continued focus on helping students successfully complete their degrees and prepare for what comes next,” said GBC President Dr. Colleen Perry Keith. “We are particularly encouraged by the gains in graduation measures among both Pell and non-Pell students. With students coming to GBC from a wide range of backgrounds, providing access to higher education must be matched by the support students need to persist, graduate and achieve their goals.”

GBC also demonstrated gains in several measures used in the U.S. News Top Performers on Social Mobility ranking. The College improved 12 positions to No. 17 for non-Pell graduation rate and 17 positions to No. 126 for Pell graduation rate. GBC also moved up 14 positions to No. 27 in the percentage of Pell students represented in the cohort. Pell Grant recipients account for 56% of the cohort included in the ranking.

Overall, GBC was ranked No. 82 among Regional Universities in the North in the Top Performers on Social Mobility category. The ranking examines measures related to graduation outcomes for students receiving federal Pell Grants and other students.

The 2027 Best Colleges rankings place GBC in the Regional Universities – North category, which includes institutions within the College’s Carnegie Classification across New England, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and the District of Columbia.

The U.S. News Best Colleges rankings use a range of measures to evaluate institutions. For 2027, U.S. News introduced a new postgraduate earnings metric as well as new rankings for Best Value Schools for In-State Students, Top Private Colleges and several undergraduate economics specialties.
