Rising Star Award

Krista Rothwell, Associate Registrar

“Through her thoughtful approach and depth of experience, Krista is often a behind-the-scenes contributor to various initiatives and day-to-day operations,” said Director of Institutional Effectiveness & Registrar, Ryan Quann. “Her commitment to a consistent level of quality, planning, and emphasis on simply ‘getting things done’ does not go unnoticed by her colleagues on a regular basis. The recognition as this year’s DAWN Rising Star is deserving on many levels and is a testament to Krista’s exceptional talent and the meaningful impact she continues to make in everything she pursues”.

As the Associate Registrar, Rothwell has been instrumental in the Academic Affairs unit’s execution of signature initiatives. She played an instrumental role in the College’s comprehensive revision and expansion of its General Education curriculum, the implementation of a new College-wide grading scale, the transition of Commencement to the Chase Center, and efforts to strengthen the day-to-day operations of the Registrar’s Office.

Outside of her professional role, Krista is an artist, mom, wife, gardener, and a lover of nature. Krista enjoys curling up with a cup of tea and a good book by the fire, taking a hike in the woods, or watching a movie on the couch with the family. In addition, she is passionate about yoga, sustainability, and the environment.
