The Legal Environment of Business LAW 701 S 10/19/26 - 12/13/26 3 This course provides a practical approach to the structure and function of the legal system from the perspective of the professional non-lawyer. While noting our legal heritage, there is a strong emphasis on the basic legal rules that most impact business today. The course will adopt a traditional case focus for the unique needs of students incorporating up-to-date topics. In addition, students will also be exposed to various ethical issues relating to the business environment.
College Algebra MAT 111 TR 01/20/26 - 03/12/26 3 College Algebra is a course that is designed to enhance the student’s essential algebra skills. Topics include linear equations and applications, inequalities, graphing, exponents, polynomials, factoring, and rational expressions. Applications in the real world are emphasized. The elective course option is available for students who have been evaluated and determined to have requisite math skills to enter directly into MAT 136 - Precalculus.

Business, science and social studies real life applications are presented, and a complete study of mathematical modeling is incorporated. The course also covers probability and statistics concepts as well as financial applications. Excel is used as the main tool for statistical and mathematical analysis.
