Meet GBC’s Alumni Coordinater!

Amy Diamond

Alumni Engagement Coordinator

[email protected]

Hello fellow GBC Alum! I graduated from GBC with my Bachelor’s in Marketing Management in 2006, then in 2010 with my Master’s in Management degree. After volunteering on the Alumni Association Board of Directors for 4 years, I made the transition to work for GBC full time in May 2022, and I love it here! GBC has so much to offer students, alumni, and the community. My goal is to bring alumni together to support our amazing alma mater not just financially, but in the way that we talk about and engage with others. My attendance at Goldey-Beacom changed my life, and I know I am not alone!  I’d love to hear your story and how GBC changed your life-please contact me anytime!

Why Giving Matters

Because you remember what it was like.

The late nights trying to finish an assignment after work. The pressure of balancing everything at once. The professors who pushed you, and the people who helped you get through it.

And you probably remember how close it could feel—how one setback might have made it harder to keep going.

For many students, the difference was a scholarship. Just enough support to stay on track.

Today’s Students Are in That Same Place

They’re working, studying, and trying to build something better—just like you did.

But the financial pressure is even greater now. Too many students are forced to choose between continuing their education and managing their responsibilities. Your support helps make sure they don’t have to.

More Than a Gift

When you give, you’re helping a student stay enrolled, finish their degree, and move forward.

You’re also recognizing your own experience.

You’re saying, “I’ve been there—and I want to help someone else get through it.”

Your Impact Is Immediate—and Personal

Gifts to the Annual Scholarship Fund support the 91% of GBC students with financial need, including first-generation students, working adults, and parents returning to finish what they started.

Keep It Going

Goldey-Beacom has always been about people showing up for each other.

When you give, you keep that going—for the next student who just needs a chance to finish what they started.

That’s how we continue to Achieve Greater.

Alumni Association

The Goldey-Beacom College Alumni Association, proudly represented by its official Alumni Association shield, is a vibrant community of more than 13,000 living alumni. Every GBC graduate automatically becomes a member, joining a lifelong network built on shared experiences, lasting connections, and Lightning pride. The Alumni Association serves as a bridge between graduates and the College, offering opportunities to reconnect with classmates, expand professional networks, and celebrate the achievements of fellow alumni. It is a space where relationships continue to grow and where alumni remain an active part of the GBC story.

Guiding this community is a dedicated Board of Directors made up of passionate alumni volunteers. Meeting quarterly, the Board works to plan meaningful events and initiatives that support the College, its students, and its mission. Their efforts include fundraising for student scholarships, which directly benefits students, as well as honoring outstanding graduates through the biennial Distinguished Alumni Awards. Throughout the year, the Alumni Association Board of Directors also brings the community together through engaging programs and events, including networking opportunities, the Drives for Education Golf Tournament, and the Fall Craft Fair—creating memorable experiences for alumni and their families.

Goldey-Beacom College Alumni Awards Program

At Goldey-Beacom College, the true measure of our impact is reflected in the lives and accomplishments of our alumni. Graduates of the College have gone on to become leaders in business, education, public service, and countless other fields—distinguishing themselves through professional excellence, service to their communities, and dedication to the values that define the GBC experience.

In recognition of these achievements, the Distinguished Alumni Gallery (DAG) program was established in 1983 to honor alumni whose lives exemplify exceptional accomplishment, integrity, and leadership. Today, the program has grown to include three prestigious awards—each celebrating a unique kind of excellence within the GBC alumni community. Honorees are selected annually by the Alumni Association Board Selection Committee, with the Presidential Alumni Award jointly chosen by the President of Goldey-Beacom College and the President of the Alumni Association Board.

Nominations are accepted throughout the year, and recipients are formally recognized at the biennial Distinguished Alumni Gallery Dinner and Awards Celebration.
