Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Accounting

The Certificate in Accounting is designed for students who have completed a Bachelor's degree in another field of business study. The curriculum is comprised of the courses specific to the B.S. in Accounting and also the course work that satisfies the requirements for the Delaware C.P.A. examination. Taken in addition to the 120+ credit hours required for a Bachelor's degree, this certificate program will provide the student with the credit hours necessary to satisfy the C.P.A. requirements of 150 credit hours of college course work. The full certificate totals 36 credit hours, and is comprised of twelve classes, up to six of which may be transferred in from other accredited programs.

Accounting 150-Hour Certificate

The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) now recommend that all states require 150 college credit hours in order to sit for the CPA exam.

Goldey-Beacom's Accounting 150 Certificate Program will be tailored for each student to assure he or she completes the number of credits required to sit for the exam, while taking courses in such areas as Business Ethics, International Business Management, and accounting. Credits also may be earned in courses outside the business area.
