Head Women’s Soccer Coach/Student-Athlete Development Specialist

Summary:

The holder of this position will oversee all aspects of the Goldey-Beacom College Women’s Soccer Program, including but not limited to, recruiting, training, game day coaching, budget, equipment, travel, and scheduling, and will be responsible for the department’s student-athlete development.  This position holder will be required to regularly exercise independent judgment and discretion.

 

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area of study with a minimum of four years’ experience working with intercollegiate athletics with proven success in fundraising.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Women’s Soccer

  • Coach the Women’s Soccer team.
  • Recruit of retainable student-athletes under CACC, NCAA, and college regulations.
  • Maintain a relationship with the Financial Aid and Advising Offices to keep a constant focus on players’ eligibility, and thus fulfill CACC, NCAA, and College regulations.
  • Maintain a relationship with the Admissions Department to assure proper attention to potential student-athletes, and to facilitate their recruitment under CACC, NCAA, and College guidelines.
  • Coordinate and participate in fundraising activities and events to support the Women’s Soccer Program and student-athlete development initiatives, collaborating with the Athletics Department and Institutional Advancement Office as needed.
  • Purchase the necessary equipment for the team; gain prior approval for all purchases.
  • Be aware of the women’s soccer budget and stay within its limitations (travel, meals, uniforms, equipment, scholarships, etc.).
  • Oversee team travel including cleanliness of transportation vehicles and meal receipts.
  • Assist with the scheduling of contests.
  • Arrange lodging for all overnight team trips.
  • Represent the College in an ethical and professional manner at all times.
  • Maintain and provide proof of current CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • Maintain valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record as this position requires frequent driving.
  • Comply with all NCAA or conference rules.  Violation of NCAA or conference rules is prohibited and may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.

Administration

  • Develop and lead a New Student-Athlete Orientation for all incoming freshmen and transfer student-athletes to assist with their transition to GBC.
  • Administer periodic Life Skills development seminars for all student-athletes.
  • Administer all Student-Athlete Advisory Committee/Leadership Academy activity under the supervision of the Associate Athletic Director for Compliance and Sport Administration.
  • Assist the Associate Athletic Director with the implementation of the GBC Athletics Academic Support Program.
  • Organize, document, and assist in the advertisement of community service activity of all varsity programs.
  • Serve as a site administrator for home contests in Fall and Winter as assigned by the Associate Athletic Director for Compliance and Sport Administration.
  • Attend conference, regional and national meetings/conventions as needed.
  • Assist the Director of Athletics with other administrative tasks as needed.

Vice President for Operations and Planning

Summary:

Goldey‑Beacom College invites applications for the position of Vice President for Operations and Planning, a senior leadership role central to advancing the College’s mission, strengthening operational excellence, and supporting a culture of integrity, accountability, and student success.

As a member of the Executive Leadership Team and reporting directly to the President, the Vice President for Operations and Planning (VPOP) serves as the College’s chief planning officer and provides strategic oversight for a broad range of administrative and operational functions. The successful candidate will demonstrate a deep commitment to the College’s values, a strong work ethic, and the ability to lead with clarity, purpose, and collaboration.

 

Primary Responsibilities

The Vice President for Operations and Planning will:

  • Provide strategic leadership for institutional planning, ensuring alignment with the College’s mission, goals, and annual priorities.
  • Oversee daily operations that support revenue generation, business objectives, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Supervise the Human Resources function, including talent management, recruitment and retention, employee benefits, personnel policies, internal communication, and initiatives that celebrate diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Oversee the College’s Information Technology, Facilities, Campus Security, Dining Services, Campus Store, and Communication Center operations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for key contract and auxiliary service partners.
  • Manage property leases and rentals and coordinate legal needs with outsourced counsel.
  • Collaborate closely with the Vice President for Finance and Controller to ensure operational efficiency within budgetary parameters.
  • Lead emergency management planning and serve as the College’s liaison with local, state, and national agencies.
  • Ensure institutional compliance and fulfill federally mandated responsibilities as a Campus Security Authority and Responsible Employee.
  • Participate fully in major College events and represent as appropriate on committees and task forces.
  • Foster a campus environment where differences are embraced and where students, faculty, and staff feel respected, supported, and valued.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a field related to the position.
  • At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in higher education administration, preferably within small, private institutions, with a broad understanding of the operations of a small college.
  • Supervisory experience overseeing multiple staff and departments.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic planning, operations management, and cross‑functional leadership.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the College’s philosophy of customer service, continuous improvement, and community engagement.

  • Minimum two years of teaching experience in higher education or equivalent instructional experience in professional training OR minimum two years of industry experience in analytics, data science, or applied statistics.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching and a commitment to fostering inclusive, engaged learning environments.
  • Technical proficiency: R and/or Python required; SQL experience strongly preferred.
  • Evidence of applied expertise in one or more areas such as business analytics, predictive modeling, data visualization, or AI applications is a plus.

  • Current appointment at the Associate Professor level or equivalent academic rank.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of full-time teaching experience at a four-year College or University.

  • Evidence of excellence in teaching, particularly across multiple modalities (in-person, hybrid, and online).
  • Demonstrated experience in curriculum development, experiential learning, or program innovation.
  • Experience working collaboratively within academic and industry environments.
  • Familiarity with accreditation, assessment, and outcomes-based education is highly desirable.
